Job Description:
The Office of the Chief Clerk is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Commissioners’ Office and executing the tasks and directives passed down from the Commissioners. The Chief Clerk works with all county departments, particularly in the areas of personnel and finance. A student would work directly with the Chief Clerk and office staff in carrying out routine office functions, especially as it relates to records retrieval, organizing, processing, and storage. A highly motivated student would have the option of taking on additional roles such as organizing and sitting in on meetings, conducting statistical analyses, and analyzing current and potential county policies.

- Scanning of selected files, organizing boxes for storage

Job Description:
The Elk County Tax Assessment Office is responsible for identifying and assessing the value of all properties in Elk County using fair and equitable standards. Property files reflect the most current owners of record, their mailing addresses and updated information on their property cards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in digitizing property record card information into a Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) System
- Learn our filing system to be able to retrieve and replace property folders with all proper documents
- Update files, photos, property cards, and other paperwork
- Executes daily computer entries
- Individual must possess excellent written and verbal skills as they may work directly with the public
- Performs all other duties as assigned by authorized personnel
