Under Pennsylvania law, property taxes are the primary source of revenue for the county municipal governments, and school districts.  Property taxes, which are calculated using the assessed values multiplied by a millage rate set by the governing bodies fund all services provided by the governing bodies.

TAX COLLECTORS UPDATED COLLECTIONS DUE TO CORONAVIRUS

 

Fox Township:  Requesting items to be dropped at the sewer box at the Township Building or at the locked box at the top of the driveway at the home office.

Highland Township: No longer having office hours due to the Virus.  Mail in payment.

Horton Township: Requesting all payments be mailed.  Dropbox by the door during previously posted hours on bills.

Jones Township: Same as hours on bills.

Millstone Township: Same as hours on bills.

Spring Creek Township: Same as hours on bills.

Ridgway Borough:   Accepting payments in the box outside or they can be mailed in and receipt will be mailed through next week.  (April 3rd)

City of St. Marys:   No in person payment.  Night drop and mail in only.
