Notice is hereby given by the County of Elk and Ridgway Borough, that it will hold a Public Hearing on April 25, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Elk County Courthouse Annex Building, 300 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853 in Conference #1. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to discuss the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program in general, the needs of the County of Elk and Ridgway Borough in housing, community development and economic development, and the County and Boroughs performance under the previously funded CDBG Program years, potential competitive grant projects and to discuss the required Three-Year Community Development Plan of both entitlements.
Curb Cut Projects - Invitation for Bid
Separate, sealed bids for two (2) Community Development Block (CDBG) projects will be received by the Elk County Planning Department Office, Elk County Courthouse Annex Building, 300 Center Street, P.O. Box 448, Ridgway, PA 15853, until 3:30 PM, April 17, 2024. All bids will be held until the April 18, 2024 Commissioner’s Meeting at 10:00 AM, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted.
Project #1 will be for the ADA Curb Installations - Center Street Area, Ridgway
Project #2 will be for the ADA Curb Installations – Long and Front Street Area, Ridgway
Interested parties may bid on one or both projects, although each bid must be received in separate envelopes and will be separate contracts. Copies of drawings, specifications, and bid forms may be obtained from the office of Greenman-Pedersen, Inc (GPI), 8 Gibson Street, North East, PA 16428, for a non-refundable price of $100.00 payable to Greenman Pedersen, Inc. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record as having obtained a full set of bid documents. 2024 Elk County Board of Commissioners' Meetings
The Elk County Board of Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled 2024 meetings on dates listed below at 10:00 a.m. in the Thomas G. Wagner Conference Room of the Elk County Courthouse Annex. The Commissioners encourage citizens to attend meetings in person.
Meeting day has been moved from Tuesdays to Thursday, starting in March.

County of Elk Approved Calendar for 2024 Updated
Tuesday, at the regular meeting of the County of Elk Commissioners, it was unanimously voted to move the meeting day from Tuesdays to Thursdays. This will take effect on March 7, 2024. Please see the updated schedule here for the new meeting dates.
